Owen’s Pharmacy “The Prescription Store” Telephone 202 Saluda Apple Festival Plans Started At a meeting of the Saluda ap ple growers Wednesday night in the City Hall plans were started for the biggest apple festival ever hid in this state. F. R. Snyder acted as chairman and explained the purpose of the meeting. The question of nutting on an apple products exhibit with the apple show was discussed. It was voted unanimously to ask the ladies of the community to spon sor and put on this part of the exhibit. The following committees were elected: General Exhibit Committee in Charge—F. R. Snyder, A. M. Salley. Finance Committee—Miss Bes sie Sonner, chairman; C. O. Coop er, vice-chairman. House Committee—H. G. Laugh ter, chairman; L. Fisher, vice chairman. The Festival committee and other necessary sub - committees will be appointed at subsequent meetings or by the general exhibit committee. The group voted to have a meet ing of the apple growers and their assistants the last Wednesday night in each month. These meet ings will be used to make further plans for the festival and discuss orchard practices. It is hoped out side speakers can be secured to come in to speak to the group. Those attending the meeting were: K. J. Davis, C. E. Sanders, F. R. Snvder, H G. Lawter, J. C. Metcalf, C. 0. Cooper, and J. A Wilson, County Agent. All apple growers in the com munity are. invited to attend these meetings at 8 o’clock each last Wednesday night. TRYON MOTOR CO.
