Jack Arnold, 45, Jack Arnold, 45, railway official of Portsmouth, Va., died at his home there last night. Funeral services Saturday at Portsmouth. The deceased is a native of Polk county. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Myrtle Hampton, and his mother, Mrs. C. C. Hampton of Flat Rock, N. C. Mrs. * Arnold is a sister of Mks. J. A. Feagan of Columbus. Foster Infant The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos D. Foster was buried this afternoon at 3 p. m., in the Tryon cemetery* Rev. B. G. Henry con ducted the services. Judge and Mrs. E. Walton Brown of Danville, Va., are visiting their cousin, Dr. Austin Woody. Miiss Margaret Elliott of New York, Mrs. John R. Dixon of New York and Miss Miargaret Raymon of North Hampton, Mass., are guests at Melrose Lodge.
