The advertisement in Friday’s Bulletin was inserted in the hope of stimulating community interest in the objectives of the Polk Coun ty Chapter of the Committee to Jbefend America by Aiding Britain. The first objective of this new chapter is to make public opinion in this community felt in Congress and the White House. The major ity is committed to the view that every dictate of self interest re quires that we should maintain and intensify our aid to Britain— our first line of defense. This can he done only if public opinion is marshalled and welded into a com pact phalanx that will render all opposition powerless.
