SPECIAL: At Missildine’s Pharmacy, Tussy Rich Cream $1.75 size for SI.OO Phone No. 4 Communications To the Editor: All who favor uniformity in mundane affairs will rejoice at the ■advertisements that appear from time to time regarding the pur chase of dogwood for industrial purposes. Now that the Kaywoody Pipe Co., has established “test” stations at Brevard and Marion, where the laurel roots will be saw ed up by thousands each year, real progress in eliminating this growth also can be made. Those who approve this develop ment will of course do nothing about it. Garden clubs and indi viduals who do not approve will have to work for a law requiring the name of the wood to be stamp ed on the laurel pipes if they are to have anything definite on which to go in arousing opposition to cutting laurel for this purpose. It seems that no law has yet been drafted that is constitutional that forbids the use of flowering trees and shrubs for commercial use. Ralph Erskine. * * * * Editor’s note: Make the corn cob pipe so popular that it will not be profitable to make the other kind. Some experts claim that the corn cobs have the best flavor, and that they are so cheap everyone can use them. The use of them will help the farmer utilize waste material and at the same time remove the temptation to destroy our laurel. Position wanted by experienced white woman. Housework—cook ing.
