SCHOOL NEWS The third year history class has received some interesting and edu cational material from Major W. A. Schilletter of Fort Jackson. We appreciated this material and wish it were possible to visit Fort Jackson. Although we are quite enthusiastic about it, we haae no idea, as yet, what can be man aged. We are hoping our small number will be in our favor. Our class originally composed of nine members, now has only seven due to the fact that Julia Merle Parris moved to Spartanburg and Frank Caldwell returned to Florida. There are six girls and one boy in the class, Pickens Durham, be ing the boy. Pickens, of course, has, in his mind, already removed all obstacles and assures us of his full and capable chaperonage and a safe return to Tryon. However, what is to be, remains to be seen. •—School Reporter. ALDEN CORPORATION Manufacturers of Furniture ASHEVILLE, N.
