OWEN’S PHARMACY " Tk ‘ p s %? ptin * WALGREEN AGENCY DRUG STORE TELEPHONE 202 CURB REPORTER CONTINUED FROM PAGE ONE.— of the interesting angles to this story is that here is a man who doesn’t live here and couldn’t take an active part in affairs when he was here, yet gets joy cut of living in the lives and activities of his friends. Every public spirit ed man takes his home town paper and his county paper because he is interested in others, especially those who are working with him, sharing responsibilities of citizen ship, taxation, government, civic imprcvemetns, etc. One woman who takes The Polk County News said, I don’t know many peo ple in the county, but I know if enough didn’t take the county paper there wouldn’t be one for the country people. We live in spirit. Without the proper atti tude, all the money, food, enter tainment and luxuries in the world’ wouldn’t mean anything. With the right attitude the ma terial things don’t count so much as long as there is food enough to satisfy hunger; and the neces sary clothes and shelter . . . . , Church attendance aids National Defense.
