Dear Mr. Vining: I have returned from Bolivia and I want to thank you for the copies of the Tx-yon Bulletin which you so kindly sent to me while I was out of # the country. I had a very interesting experi ence in Bolivia and encountered many things to which we are net accustomed in the States, and pos sibly I should add that I failed to encounter many other things to which we are accustomed. It was, on the whole, a vexy interest ing and instructive trip, and from my point of view, I have reason to hope that our experimental work thex*e will prove to be suc cessful. I hope very much to get to Tryon sometime in the near future as there are many people there to whom I owe my thanks for their kindnesses at the time |of my Mother’s death. Winners Announced In Football Contest The Ballenger - Jackson Co., guessing contest was won by four persons who picked 12 winners in the football games played last weekend. The persons picking the winners were Lynwood Hancock, Donald Eaton, Louis F. Bunte, Julius Earle Brock. Seven other persons picked 11 winners. Lynch, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce committee to entertain the tour of American Steamship & Tourist Agency asso ciation which will ccme to Tryon on Tuesday afternoon after a visit at Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, is completing plans for the event today. As there will be ap proximately 200 visitors traveling in buses all citizens are asked to help entertain them. Edgar C. Rowe, chairman of the reception committee espcially urges all mem bers of the Country Club to be present.
