Books for Soldiers Wanted
At Once!
Headquarters for the Victory
Book campaign begs that collec
tions be made promptly in order
that there may be no delay in
their reaching the men at once.
The Tryon Committee has re

be a large number from most
small towns, but not for Tryon!
Your gifts are of more value
now than later so please hunt up
the books you want the soldiers
to have and get them to the Book
and Paper shop as soon as possi
ble.
Remind anyone going to Char
lotte that a carton of books is
packed and ready for transporta
tion. Mr. Chas. Nessmith' has of
fered to take some. Are there
others? (Contributed)

World Day of Prayer Here
It takes forty hours for the
World’s Day of Prayer to encircle
the globe—from dawn in the Fiji
islands till the closing minutes in
Alaska. It is a wonderful thought
that we join with the entire world
when we attend the service of
prayer in the Baptist church on
Friday evening at eight c’clock.C
