Brunswick, Ga., where the Lefty Flynns are direc tors of USO' work, is a very inter esting newspaper with that per sonal touch necessary to make any one acquanted with his surround ings. The issue of August 15th has the following of interest here: “Capt. R. P. Stevens of Co. G starts his leave on Friday, and will be gone for a period of ten days. We have been informed he will spend most of this time at ‘Little Orchard’, a farm in Try on. It is the property of Mr. and Mrs. Flynn of our local USO. ‘El Rancho/ as Capt. Stevens is fami liary known, will live the life of a country gentleman. It should be quite a sight seeing our Cap tain riding about the terrain on horseback. (We hope he has no aspiration of joining the cavalry). At any rate this vacation should be welcome rest from his arduous duties of running our combat team.. Captain James A. Prentiss from Co. ‘A’ 104th Inf., at Myrtle Beach, S. C., will take over com mand in Stevens’ absence. He was a Captain in the National Guards there and was employed by the New Eng land Telephone Company.” Private J. B. (Buford) Lock hart of Batry D., 437 CA Bn. Camp Hulen, Texas, returns to his post Friday after spending several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John P. Lockhart. He has subscribed to the Bulletin.
