YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD DRUGGIST FOR ALMOST HALF A CENTURY. MISSILDINE’S PHARMACY. PHONE NO. 4 Available to Growers Loans are avanaoie to an wneat growers at $1.53 per bushel for No. 2 Red Winter Wheat (for light garlicky the loan value is lc less and for garlicky 3cents less) in Polk County, according to B. E. Hinsdale, Jr., chairman Polk County AAA Commitfee. Most Wheat grown in this area is of this grade. Premiums apply to better grades and discounts will be made for lower grades. The large wheat crop produced this year fills a vital need in re plenishing the nation’s bread bas ket arid will be needed during the coming year. However, storage space, in some areas, may become filled during the harvest season. If storage space becomes filled in any area there may be a tempo rary sag in prices in that area according to Mr. Hinsdale. There fore* wheat growers should give careful consideration to the loan program. Loans are made on wheat stored in Farm Storage as well as wheat stored in approved ware houses. Farmers storing their wheat on the farm may earn a storage allowance of seven cents per bushel in addition to the above loan rate. Mr. Hinsdale further states that as a rule farmers who have held their wheat off the market under the loan program during the past several years have se cured better prices for their crop than those who sold at harvest time. Loans on wheat grading No. 3 or better stored in approved ele vators or acceptable farm storage are available until December 31 1944. Full information on the loan program may be obtained from the Polk County AAA office lo cated at Columbus. WANTED TO BUY Immediate ly—Electric Stove, late model in first class condition.
