Columbus N^ws Mrs. Donald Jones has gone to Washington, D. C., where die will visit with relatives for a few weeks, after which she and Donna Grace are on to Missouri where they will be for some time with Mr. Jones’ parents. Charles Tippett, close friend of the E. C. Gibbs, was their guest last week, returned to Detroit re cently. Mr. Tippett was so much impressed with the climate, scen ery and friendliness of the people here that he hopes in the near future to have a home here with us. I he Outlook club held one of its most enjoyable meetings of the year last week with Mrs. W. E. Staggs. “Uncle Jimmy” Smith was the guest speaker and delighted the club members with a brief history of years spent in France and England. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lit Shehan include Mrs. Shehan’s nephew, Claude Bryant, and his wife. Mr. Bryant in the service, is stationed in the far west and was home on furlough. Mr. and Mrs. Crowder Ross and Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hague were Sunday visitors. Miss Vadah McMurray was back in school this week after several days absence because of her mother’s illness. Miss Dorothy Landis is now with her brother, Richard, in. Chicago. She has a position with the Marshall Field Co. Sunday was a glad day for the J. F. Ormands.
