PHONE NO. 4 COMMUNICATIONS All patrons and friends of the Try on school who live in TRYON TOWNSHIP should register Sat urday, April 14 or April 21 in order to be able to vote May 8th. The proposition is: whether or not we shall have the special tax, not to exceed 25c on the SlbO val uation. This will NOT raise any ones taxes for we have been pay ing this tax for the past several years, but because the Legisla ture disolved the Tryon-Saluda City A ministrati v e Dis trict and created the Tryon City Administrative District, it is nec essary to go through the form of re-voting the tax. If we do not have this special fund we will not be able to have Home Economics nor keep our good teachers, nor have some of the other good things that make our school what it is. NOTICE OF ELECTION Notice is hereby given that a local tax election will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 1945, to ascertain whether there shall be levied in the district known as the Tryon City Administrative School Unit, a local annual tax of not more than twenty-five cents on the $100.00 valuation of all property, real and personal, to supplement :he funds for the nine months pub lic school term for said district. The territory embraced in said school district is all of the area in Tryon Township. Notice is further given that a new registration of the qualified voters of said territory has been ordered, and George E. Bell has been appointed Registrar. The registration books will be open for the registration of voters on Sat urday, April 7, 14, 21 and 28, be tween the hours of 9:00 A. M. and 5:00 P. M.. on said days at the old Town Hall in Try&n. Sat urday, May 5, -will be challenge day. Notice is further given that in order for a voter to vote at said election, it will be necessary for the said voter to register.
