Miss Nadine Jones, WAVES, Banana River, Fla., is visiting her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hooper. Raymond Anderson and Don Ar thur left Monday for a few days’ visit with Jock Blois at Lake Summit, Tuxedo, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Camper of Laurents, S. C., are guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Buchanan this week. Waldo Toby of Chicago is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Munns at Four Columns. Mrs. Ted Bates and son, Thomas Lincoln, have returned from a visit in the East Pfc. Clarence T. Cox. who was overseas in Germany, Holland and France, has just spent his 30 days furlough with his mother, Mrs. Belle Cox, and his wife. Mrs. Elsie Campbell Cox. He has reported at Fort Bragg, X. C. Pfc. Howard W. Hancock ar rived in Tryon Tuesday in time to help celebrate the victory, af ter two years’ service in Africa and Italy. He flew by plane on a C54, Tuesday a week ago, came via Natal, Brazil, to Miami, mak ing the trip in 22 hours. After several days in Florida he came on home.
