Mrs. Helen S. Claaseen and sis ter, Miss Lucy Stewart, have re turned from Chicago. J. L. Brown of the State Ex tension Service, Raleigh, was home for the week-end. Mrs. George B. Marty has gone to Charlotte to do volunteer work at the mental hygiene clinic. Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Ford had as their guest last week, their son, Carroll Ford, of Portsmouth, Va.; also their daughter, Mrs. Ed Zaik, nee Margaret Ford, and her husband, Lieut. Zaik, of Camp Lee, Va. NEW ARRIVALS A son was born Thursday at St. Luke’s hospital to Mr. and Mrs. R. C. McFalls; a son to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ormand of Columbus on Friday; a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Brown of Mill Spring on Friday.
