HOSPITAL NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Fred McKaig are the parents of a son born on Christ mas Eve at St. Luke’s Hospital. The baby is a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Roach and of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. McKaig. Patients admitted over the week end included Mrs. Frederick Cham berlain of Tryon; Miss Frances Wood, Spindale; Frederick Ger ken of Tombstone, Arizona; and Lionel Lawrence of Rutherfordton Rt. 2. Mrs. Lucy Edwards of Tryon was discharged. FIRE AT -CAFE The Tryon Fire Department was called out this morning about 11 " o’clcok to the Tryon Cafe where a small fire had developed from faulty electric wiring. Recent arrivals at Mill Farm include Mrs. Gwendolyn Stranahan of Cambridge, Mass. Budd Gray of Rockport, Maine and Mrs. Da phne Bell of Oak Park, 111. B. K. Couper of Washington, D. C. spent Christmas with his mother, Mrs. B..King Couper at the Rock House Art Gallery. IT So many people seem sur prised when they learn how easily they sell things through an ad in The Bulletin. IT It isn’t that The Bulletin so good. It’s because al 5,000 people read it every for five days a week and when an advertiser offers a good bar gain in something that is wanted by others, 6,000 people can do a lot of talking. If An ad has to be honest, ring true and be what the public wants if it is a success. There are not as many suckers as there used to be. The public checks and double checks. You can’t fool people long. If you ;; have something worthwhile for ! the other fellow yon can sell it through an advertisement in The Bulletin.
