Dr. Bryan’t presentation of the “Genealogy of the Language” was most Interesting and was certain ly one of the most scholarly heard at Tryon Rotary in some time. He transformed what might easily have been a dry topic into a live and interesting one. Arthur Britton was the program chairman. COMMUNICATIONS The Men of the Church of the Holy Cross are proud to announce that they have arranged to sponsor a series of 10 fortnightly lectures to be given by Dr. Geore’e Farrand Taylor at the Episcopal Parish House. The first lecture will be on Tuesday evening, Nov. 21, at 8. Dr. Taylor’s subject, one on which he is unusually well quali fied and for which he is much sought after will be “The His tory of the Bible”—the story of how the Old Testament came to be written and how it has come down to us through the ages to its present form.
