The Tryon Women’s Golf Association will have another White Elephant Tournament Tuesday and luncheon at 12:30 at the club house. Prizes will be awarded ... James E. MP Miller of the DuPont Co., will be the speaker at the Tryon Kiwanis .Club, on Tuesday. Mr. Miller is the administrative assistant to the project manager for the construction of the Savan nah River Atomic Energy Plant now being built for the Federal Government by the DuPont Co. Archie Covington will have charge of the program. I --- j HOSPITAL NEWS ' Ophelia Massey of Tryon and Bobby Carson, son of Mrs. Vir ginia Carson of Mill Spring were admitted to St. Luke’s Hospital. The following patients were dis charged from the hospital: Luther Phillips, Hendersonville; Lionel Flynn, Tryon; Mrs. J. G. Newman, Tryon; Mrs. Donald Kuykendall, — Tryon; Mrs, Ray Cochran and • baby boy, Tryon; Azale Wood, Tryon; and Alpha Graves, Land rum. Mr. and Mrs. J, L. Petty of Landrum are the parents of a boy born August 11th at 9:06 p. m. Mr. and Mrs. John Paul Jones of Tryon are the parents of a boy bofn Aug. 11th at 6:60 p. m. J. H. METCALF JR. Funeral services were held Sun day afternoon at Holly Springs Baptist Church for J. H. Metcalf Jr., who was killed about a year ago in Korea. He' entered the army at Ft, Jackson about 6 months before gq£ng to Korea. He is survived by his father, J.
