whose automobile driver’s license
was suspended for a year by the
Department of Motor Vehicles, has
asked that the suspension be re
voked, Monroe M. Redden, his at
torney, said here today.
Panther was arrested at Land
rum, S. C., on May 3 by Police
Chief Joe Hightower and charged
with driving while drunk. Accord
cording to reports from Landrum,
he failed to appear for trial
later.
rantner s request lor revocation
of the suspension was made at a
hearing before Hearing Officer
Ralph Stephens of the Depart
ment of Motor Vehicles.
Redden said the revocation was
asked on the grounds that Panther
had not been informed of a hear
ing, that he had not signed or
posted bail, that no warrant had
been served and that the defend
ant had not been told to report
to Landrum for a hearing.
