Smith-Wofford On a wedding trip to Gatlinburg are Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Jack Wofford, who were married Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The former Miss Barbara Judy Smith and Mr. Wofford exchanged vows at Gowensville Baptist Church where a reception also was held. The couple will make their home on Smith Road. Both were graduated from Landrum High School. Mrs. Wofford, daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. G. Harold Smith of Smith Road, is a secretary in the office of Charlie 0. Wolfe, Insurance and Real Estate, Greer. Son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Wofford of Route 3. Mr. Wofford works with James E. Wofford, Contractor. Mr. Wofford attended his son as best man. Ushering with the bridegroom's brother, Jimmy, and the bride's brother, Douglas, were Hal Fisher of Inman, Phil Greenway and Mike Dili. The bridegroom’s nephew, Jamie Wofford, and the bride’s nephew, Shannon Smith were junior ushers. GOLFERS TIE For the first time since the Red Fox and Tryon Country Club golfers engaged in home and home matches, they wound up in a tie. On Thursday, Oct. 9, on the Tryon course, fifteen men from each club competed for three points in the individual matches and with the two-man teams doing likewise, the final total resuled in a 33-33 tie. Tryon RED FOX W.G.A. Winners on Oct. 9 of Low Gross in each Class were Class A — Pal Pettit, Class B, Marjorie Reeves, and Class C, Carol Kingery and Jane Walker, tied.
