Tryon Daily Bulletin, Wed., Nov. 2G, 1980 President Joseph L. Knowlton of the Lanier Library reports continued growth. The number of new members since April has increased to 84. At the same time accumulation of books exceeds the capacity of the Library to shelve them-a fate common to all libraries, big and small. To make room for new books (54 selected in October bv the Book Selection Committee) and to better serve the membership, old and new, older books for which there has been no recent call are being removed from Library shelves and will be offered for sale on Saturday, Decembers. The Book Disposition Committee of Mrs. Franklin Basler, Mrs. G. Freeman Brooks and Mrs. Mildred Turnbull have selected the books for the sale. Library Administrator, Mrs. Sidney H. Morgan, reports that a large print listing of large print books available for circulation has been prepared and is available for interested readers at the circulation desk. Preparation of the list was financed by the john Craddock fund Audubon Film “Footloose in Newfoundland,” an intriguing ramble through this hauntingly beautiful eastern edge of North America, will be shown and narrated by Thomas A.
