We mentioned last week a
quirk of nature found by Dentus
Chapman - a board with a knot
resembling a monkey's face.
Well Ernest Kellogg dropped

Jones Listed In
Guarded Condition
Jeffrey Jones, 18, of Tryon,
was still in the Intensive Care
Unit at Rutherford Hospital
Monday, listed in guarded con
dition.
A hospital spokesman said his
condition was unchanged from
the previous day.
Jones was the passenger in a
Chevrolet pick-up truck last
Wednesday when the truck
struck a tree. The driver,
Charles Bryan Lookadoo, also
18 and of Tryon, was killed
instantly.
The state trooper who inves
tigated the accident said Friday
that Jones was to be moved by
helicopter to Charlotte. But his
condition was apparently such
that doctors chose not to move
him.
