On Motion a committee of thrco was appointed by the chnir consisting of O. G. Parsley. D. B. McLnurin ami Dr Robt. Harllee, to verify proxies. The meeting then adjourned until half past 2. p. in. Two prisoners a white man and a ne gro, confined in the jail of this county on a charge of murder, made their escape odo uighi last week, by rushing out when the door of their room was opened, to gift them food. The alarm was soon given, and several citizen on horse-back started in pursuit.
