Rucker Call 767-9090 With the two biggest and best computers in the world, the special Atlanta police task force has turned up a wall filled with composite pictures of the child-killer by psychics. What the police have found out is that they don’t know the race or sex of the killer. However, the psychics are not nearly as modest or cautious. For example, in Illinois a psychic recently led a police force to the bodies of five female victims and was in strumental in the capture of the killer. The use of psychics in the Atlanta killings, dating back to July, 1979, is another example. On a special television program, I was stunned when 67 percent of the people in our two-way QUBE opinion poll said that psychics should be used in police investigations. And on “Is This The Atlanta Killer?” we did just that. Using methods that some consider - although it seems fewer and fewer - implausible and unconventional, we got an earful and an eyeful from popular psychic Lillian Cosby and Lloyd Strayhorn, syndicated numerologist in New York’s Big Red newspaper. Lillian Cosby, who accurately predicted the political demise of former president Richard Nixon, said the killer in Atlanta was a balding, light-skinned Black man with light eyes and a “friendly” mouth. He works with another man and masquerades as a woman to gain the confidence of the children, she added. His mood swings remind one of a Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde personality and like Dr. Jekyll, he possesses a technical knowledge of the human anatomy. We put Cosby and world renowned artist Jon Lockard, professor at the University of Michigan’s Center for Afro-American and African Studies, together on April 15 before our April 18 taping and filmed Lockard reproduc ing Cosby’s impression of the killer. The composite rendering was true to Cosby’s verbal directions. She added that he was chubby and had a “G” TONY It' BROWN’S JOURNAL. initial or sound in his name. He is a member of a team, she stressed, with a serious problem with his identity and moves about Atlanta’s upper echelon with great ease. Ms. Cosby explains why the killer has not been caught. “He walks about as a respected citizen of the community so he knows what the police or any authority is going to do. He’s right there to hear and see. He moves in their society and that’s unfortunate. That is one reason why nobody can put their finger on him. There is somebody there in Atlanta who knows who he is.” To entrap the children, Ms. Cosby claims that the murderer masquerades as a woman. “He seems to make this transition from a male to a female very easy. He’s very insecure. He has difficulty defining his own identity. That is one of the problems he has had - he has had this all of his life - his masculine indentity. “It is not the racial identity at all, except that he has not had the recognition that he wants and someone who he is close to — whether he’s closely related to someone or not - has over-shadowed him and that’s where the vendetta comes in. This person has many mixed emotions and many personalities, like the many faces of Eve, that kind of person, and he is a Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde. He has a very scientific mind.” Although the killer can alter his appearance by wearing a wig, she says, there is more than one person involved in the killings. Dates that add up to 2, 4, 6, and 9, says numerologist Lloyd Strayhorn, are dangerous for children in Atlanta. Strayhorn, a syndicated columnist for New York’s Big Red newspaper, conducted numerological evaluations of the victims and found similarities in their charts. Cosby claims that the killer’s motive is based on a vendetta against a public image or someone who is in public office. The killer is trying to degrade someone who is in a position to help Atlanta and “bring the Black im age up in policy making positions.” She says the killer has been on the searches for the missing/murdered children and has also attended some of the funerals.
