Page A8-The Chronicle, Thursd Howard I Howard University will offer its annual summer program for academically talented students from June 23 to July 18. Dr. James H. Williams, director of the program, says that the main nurnose of the Droaram is to identify students in first through 12th grade who have outstanding abilities and offer them a variety of challenging educational programs beyond those available in the regular classroom situation. The three components of the jiroaram will inrlnrir enrichment classes for first through sixth grade, accelerated classes for seventh through 12th grade and pre-college classes for students in 11th and 12th grade. Students completing the 11th and 12th grades, who have the appropriate Scholastic Aptitude Test scores, may qualify for the pre-college component and take college-credit courses or a combination of college-credit and non-credit courses.
