Kennedy am The Winston-Salem chapter of the Howard University Alumni Association will hold its annual Charter Day dinner Sunday, March 9, at 4 p.m. at the Student Union at Winston-Sal^m University. Special honorees at the dinner will be Annie Brown Kennedy and Dr. Lillian Burwell Lewis. Dr. Lewis, who was born in Meridian, Miss., received a master's degree from Howard University in 1931 and a Ph.D. in 1934 from the University of Chicago _ She has taught at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, S.C., Morgan State University in Baltimore and Tillotson University in Austin, Texas. She was elected to the Forsyth County School Board and is a member of the Book Club of Today, the Moles and the American Association of University Women.
