Black Rep will hold "Black Nativity' auditions SPECI AL TO THE CHRONICLE The North Carolina Black Repertory Company will hold auditions tor the Christmas Gospel Musical "Black Nativity" on Saturday. Oct, 31 from 12 - 7 p.m. at the Arts Council Theatre. 610 Coliseum Drive. Actors, singers and dancers are invited to audition. Actors and singers must prepare a monologue, no linger than two min utes and two songs (one up tempo with movement and a ballad) and perform 32 bars of each. Dancers must perform a choreo graphed dance piece .monologue and<one song. The totat presentation should not exceed five minutes. Jhose who audition should provide their own accompaniment (CD. cassette, etc.). All auditions are by appointment only. Call 336 723-2266 to schedule an audition. ' "Black Nativity, " written by Langston Hughes, is a gospel musical that illuminates the story of the birth of Christ Jesus as told by ail ancient story teller. Broadw ay veteran Mabel Robinson w ill direct and choreograph this extraordinary show .
