Happy Hill Reunion promises a good time SPECIAL TO THE CHRONICLE Organizers are gearing up for the 19th Annual Happy Hill Community Reunion, which will be held on Friday, July 20 at 7 p.m. at the William C. Sims Sr. Recreation Center, 1201 Alder St., and Saturday, July 21 at 11 a.m. in Happy Hill Park, which is across the street from the Rec Center. The events will be attended by hundreds of excit ed people. The July 20 program will honor the late great James Funches, an artist and local teacher who was a part of the Eliminators and many other bands. Joe "Nathan" Robinson, James McDuffie Bank and Bro Banks will perform. There will be several speakers present to talk about Funches. On Saturday, Cedric Moser will serve as emcee.
