Whereas at a special meeting qf
the Board of Commissioners of the
town of Dunn held on Tubs., March
13, 1981, at the Municipal Building.
Dunn, N. C., the following order
was made:
Whereas, under the provisions of
an act of the 1961 General Assemb
ly of North Carolina which act was
passed finally on March 6, 1951, and
was originally designated as Sen
ate Bill 174, the Board of Com
missioners were directed to order
an election to be held on a Sat
urday on or before April 14, 1951,
to determine whether the city man,
ager form or government shall be
retained therein or whether the
Town of Dunn shall operate after
May 31, 1951, under the same char
ter, applicable laws and forms of
government which were in effect
prior to the adoption of the pre
sent city manager form of govern
ment :
Now therefore, be it ordered by
the Board of Commissioners of the
Town of Dunn, N. C., as follows:
1. That .special election be and
the same is hereby called for Sat
urday, April 14, 1951, for the pur
pose of submitting to the qualified
voters of the Town of Dunn, the
question of whether or not the city
manager form of government shall
be retained in the said Town of
Dunn, N. C„ or whether the same
shall be abolished.
2. That ballots to be used in said
speoial election shall be in substan
tially the following form:

has been appointed Registrar for

election; and that the City Hall,
Dunn, N. C., has been designated
as the poUing place for said elec
tion, and the hours designated by
law for holding said election are
from 6:30 A. M. to 6:30 P. M..
Eastern Standard Time.
All unregistered voters, residing
within the corporate limits of the
Town of Dunn, N. C., are notified
to register for this election, because
the New Registration of all quali
fied voters, residing within the cor
porate limits of the Town of Dunn,
ordered by the Board of Commis
sioners, of the Town of Dunn, on
March sth, 1951, will not apply to
the said special election ordered by
