THE TOWN OF DUNIf:
SECTION I. That tor the pur
pose ol this Ordinance the toilow

A. The term “garbage" shall
mean every accumulation ol ani

attends the preparation, consump

SECTION VI. CONSTRUCTION |

tractor, or sub-contractor engaged
in the construction, repair or
demolition of any building or
structure or part thereof, shall
remove and dispose of, in an au
thorized manner from any street,
alley, gutter, park, sidewalk, curb
ing, curb space, any public way or
any premises not owned by him
, all waste matter or rubbish depos
, ited thereon in connection with
that portion of the repair, con
; struction or demolition work under
, his special or general supervision.
A. Such refuse, waste matter and
i rubbish shall be cleaned up, re
' moved, and disposed of in a sani
! tary manner within seven days of
• the final cessation of work on such
, building or structure unless spacif
i ically authorized by the Building In
spector or Superintendent of Sani

Funeral services for Othsl Wpod,
28, of Dunn, Routs 2, were, held
Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock
from Beulah Baptist Church and
Interment was to the Morgan
family cemetery. Officiating was
the Rev. A. B. Stephenson, of Wil
son Mills, pastor of the church,
assisted by the Rev. Forest Max
well, of Erwin.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vestel
Lee Wood; two sons, Allan, and
Tommie: two daughters, Linda Fay
and Wanda Ann, all of the home,
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Law
rence W. Wood of Benson, Route
2- three brothers. Lawrence W. Jr.
Cleatus and Billie Ray, all of
Benson, Route 2.
Six sisters, Mrs. Robert Lee of
Dunn, Route 2, Mrs. Raymond
Noles and Mrs. Delma Adams, both
of Benson. Route 2, Mrs. Vernell
Tanner and Mrs. Parlia Parker,
both of Raleigh, and Wilma Gray
Wood of Benson, Route 2. Mr.
Wood a farmer and life-long resi
dent of the McLamb crossroads
section.

B. HOUSEHOLDERS:

proof and dog-proof receptacles of
the type specified by this ordinance.
2. Occupants must furnish as
many approved receptacles as need
ed to hold at least one (1) week’s
accumulation of garbage.-
3. Receptacles must have well
fitting lids so as to make them
rain-proflf. The lids are to be
chained, or tied with, ropes to meta
or wooden stakes higher than the
container so that the lid wiQ not
blow away from the area and be
lost or destroyed. Where lids have
been previously lost, .damaged or
destroyed they axe to be replaced
