PAGE FOUR Fete Mrs. Douglas With Erwin Shower Mrs. Tom Byrd and Mrs. Astor Jackson entertained at a stork shower at the home of Mrs. Byrd Friday evening feting Mrs. Mar gie Douglas. Colorful autumn flowers were used attractively throughout the Byrd house. When the honoree arrived she was given an appropriate corsage and shown to her place beside a table piled high with lovely gifts. During the evening several games were played and prizes awarded to Mrs. Douglas. Mrs. ''Buster’ 1 Lucas and Mrs. Byrd. Following the games the honoree opened her gifts and passed them around for everyone to see. and following this the hostesses ser ved chicken salad, open faced sandwiches, potato chips, cup cakes decorated in pink and white mints soft drinks and coffee to: Mrs. Douglas, honoree. Mrs. Ka thleen Wilson, Mrs. Roderich Mor rison. Mrs. Lois Cooke. Mrs. Clar ence Turnage. Mrs. Mary Byrd. Mrs. "Buster” Lucas. Mrs. Earl Moore. Mrs. Billy Quick, and Mrs. lona Champion. Those sending gifts but unable to attend were: Mrs. Char les Cox. Mrs. Willard Lloyd. Mrs. Melvin Hayes. Mrs. Buck Tew. Mrs. Donald Pollard. Mrs. Flossie Hub bard, Mrs. Roland Hall. Sandra Byrd Has Birthday Party Mrs. Tom Byrd entertained at a party at her home Saturday af ternoon from 3 until 5 feting her daughter Sandra on her 6 birth day. A pink and white color scheme was carried out in decorations and refreshments. The table was cov ered with pink and white crepe paper and centered with the lovely two tiered cake topped with 6 pink candles. During the afternoon the group 1 played games and Sandra opened j her gifts. The children then gathered a- ! round the table and sang "Happy Birthday” and Sandra blew out her.' candles. Mrs. Eyrd then served cookies, potato chips, ice cream, and soft 1 drinks. Suckers and bubble gum were given as favors. Present to wish Sandra a Happy Birthday were: Johnny Moore. Jackie Davis, Frances Tew. Patsy Tyson, Martha and Linda Fay Ray nor, Kay Porter. Joyce Ann Jack son, Shelia and Mary Byrd. Lanny Champion. Barbara Ann Roberts. Floyd Strickland.
