Lillington Society+ Schwarz-Cranford Vows Spoken At Lillington Miss Jane Rae Cranford of Lil. lington and Ernest Wiliam Sch. warz of Philadelphia, Pa. and A. berdeen. Md were married on Sunday, August 9th at 5:30 p. m. in t to c Lillington Methodist Church. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ray Cran. ford of Lillington, who received immediately following the cere, mony at a reception for 200 guests at the Lillington Community Cen ter. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs Ernest Charles Schwarz of Philadelphia, Pa. The Rev. Wayne Wegwart, pas. tor of the bride, officiated at the double ring ceremony assisted by the Rev. Lawrence Loy of Row. land, former pastor. Wedding mus. icians were Robert Mann, organ, ist ol Cumberland, Md. and Miss Judith Womble ol Lillington, sol. oist who rendered a program of music by Chopin. Johnny Spears and Russ Brad, ley served as awuiytes for the candlelight ceremony. The bride, given in marring* by her father, wore a formal gowu of white silk organza fashioned on princess lines with folds of the boultant skirt caught at the with an organza bow. The portrait neckline was edged with aleceon lace, clipped in Its original pattern and lace motifs were scattered about the skirt. Her veil of silk illusion was attached to the crown of matching lace trimmed with seed pearls. She wore a sheath of shell pink silk organza slyjfd with scooped neckline, and a crushed satin cummerbund with a satin bow in the back. It feat ured a flared organza overskirt with sloping sides at the front. Her hat was fashioned of pink ostrich plumes with matching veil and velvet bows and her flowers were pink asters, interspersed with blue delphinium. Junior attendent, Miss Debby Matthews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Kay Matthews, was dressed in an outfit styled simi. larly to the honor attendant. Her skirt was full and the rummer, bund ended in .1 sash. Her head, dress was a bandeaux of organza clipped her head with pink flo wers. She had a nosegay of pink and blue flowers. Robert Schwarz of Swarth. more, Pa. served his brother as best man and ushers were Vincent Grimaldi, Philadelphia, Pa., form, er roommate ai the University of North Carolina; Spero Horton, Chapel Hill. Honor attendants were Misses Mildred Clayton, Karen Walker, of Lillington, Martha Harrington of Chapel Hill, cousin of the bri. de. Marian Kalmar of Faison, and Mrs. Conrad Sloan of Chinquapin. They wore short formals in shad es of blue with bandeaux of fresh flowers in matching colors. The mother of the bride was (pressed in Chantilly lace over taffeta in mauve with matching accessories. The mother of the bridegroom wore cornflower blue silk organza. They had gardenia corsages. The bride's going away outfit ■was a beige sheath with match, ing jacket with green accessories, including a small hut of green leaves edged in beige and trim, med with a green rose. She wore a bronze orchid. The bride was graduated from Campbell College, and received an A. B. in English from Woman's College. Greensboro, with the class of 1957. She is at present a member of the faculty of Aber. deen High School. Mr. Schwarz attended the Un iversity of North Carolina.
