Hathij j HmtnentA ANOTHER VICTORY — “Anoth er Greenwave victory!” Yes, the Dunn Greenwaves won again last Friday night in a conference game with Raeford 72-57. We really have a great team this year. It couldn’t be much better! GREAT SUCCESS — The Junior Stunt Night last Thursday proved to be a great success. The Juniors made a profit of about $330. The lucky winners of the stunts were b-Tart for the Junior High; 9 Pridgen for the Senior High, and “Three little Men” (Clea Ammons, Sandra King, and Linda Grows) lor the individual stunt. Everyone Jnjoyed it and the theme couldn’t have been more appropriate since “The Outer Limits” on television is so popular. SUPPORTING ORPHAN — -The Senior Tri-Hl-Y is supporting a Korean orphan and they received a picture of her this week. It is really marvelous that we have such organizations as this to care for orphans overseas. VALENTINE SWEETHEART — ••Will you be my Valentine?” This is the number-one saying this week. The Student Council is having a dance tomorrow night, February 15. Bach Club has spon sored a Valentine Sweetheart, one rf which will be crowned the Val entine Queen at the dance. The girls competing for the honor are as follows: Elaine Bryant (Hi-Y), Anne West (Sr. Trs-rli-Y), Alice Butt (Library Club), Nancy Snipes 'Debating League), Paulette Drew (F’uture Farmers of America), Mary Holt Tart (Student Council), Pebecca Pope (Latin Club), Ar mida Mitchell (Beta Club), Phyllis Miller (F*uture Business Leaders of A-reiica) Evelyn Barefoot (Jr. (Future Science Clu-o), Sue Moore (Future Homemakers of America), Barbara Twyford (Jr. Trl-Hi-Y), Ann Lewis (Sr. Science Club), and Kathy Joseph (Future Teachers of America*. The queen was elected bv the student body today. Wonder who the lucky girl is? DEBATERS — Tryouts ror the Senior Debating League are to be held next Wednesday. Are you in terested in debating? If so, be sure to try out. Good luck to all! GOSSIP — Mr. Bass, you seemed kinh of risappointed that your wife had a baby girl on Tuesday instead of a boy. It looks like you are destined to a houseful of girls Maybe next time will be a boy. We are all wondering what happened to Barbara Twyford and Lee Be*t Johnson. That romance was leng thy, wasn’t it? Domini Hartafield, we are sorry your bean had to leave early Sunday night. Wonder what he had up his sleeve? Steve Carver - Thei; isn’t a-r.y news about Steve; he Just wanted some j r-ttention. What’s this between Chuck Byrd and Shelia Murphy? It seems he is at her house an awful lot. Most unpredictable: Judy Tart and Ge orge Blalock! We all hear Mrs. Lockhean is finally getting her wish c~me true. Sue plans to travel to Ecrope this summer, We are all glad she has nearly acheived her life’s ambition. Be sure to come out ' and support your Settlement Reported At $16 Million Mrs. Henry Ford Back In Seclusion FAIRFIELD, Idaho (TJPI) — A divorced Mrs. Henry Ford II re turned to seclusion near the ski slopes today. Detroit friends of Mrs. Ford, I who obtained her divorce on grounds of mental cruelty in Idaho County District Court, quoted the divorcee as stating she was “sur prised’’. at the settlement terms which were reported to be as high ' as $16 million. ; Ford, 46. was not present at the divorce proceedings and declined to comment on the settlement. I Mrs. Ford, 44, the former Anne I McDonnell, returned to the pri vacy of an apartment atc famed Sun Valley ski resort following the ! divorce proceedings. She has been team!
