Baptist Circle Gathers Monday An Monday afternoon the Mar tha Brady Circle of the First Bap tist Churjh met at the home of Mrs. Vivian Thomas. Thirteen members were present for the meeting and one visitor, Mrs. J. c. Thomas. Mrs. J. O. West, chairman, gave the devotion reading from Corin th'ns and followed with prayer. Mrs. Allen H. Lee, program chairman, presetned the program on "Helping the Church Worship.” Others taking part in the discus, slon were Mrs. Locke Campbell, Mrs. E. C. Keller and Mrs. J. A. Poole. A short business meeting fol lowed. Various reports were gi ven. The circle voted to give a donation to State Missions into the Lottie Moon Christman offer. Ing. Hound Cake, ice cream, potato chips and fruit punch were ser ved during a social hour. Bobby G. Tews Pledge Troth Mr. and Mrs. Howard Glenn Allen of Greenville announce the marriage of their daughter, Caro lyn, to Bobbv Glenn Tew, son of Mr. and Mrs Wallace Tew of Route 1, Dunn. The groom is a senior at ECC mnlnrine in physical education and the bride ip a sophomore there. They will make their home with the bride’s parents, in Greenville and continue 'their education. The wedding took place on Aug ust 30. CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bryan, Mr. and Mrs. David Bennett, and Mrs. Annie Bryan of Newton Grove gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Denning yes terday to celebrate Mr. Bryan’s birthday. The group enjoyed a birthday dinner Si his honor. EVERYTHING IS IN READINESS for the fashion show Wednesday night at the Dunn Theatre. The snow, featuring fall and winter, apparel, is give n each year by the Dunn Business & Professional Women’s Club and attracts a capacity crowd. M. S. meeting and Visitation' Day on September 29 were discussed and emphasiz’d. The program chairman, Mrs. Marvin Raynor, assisted by Mr. Bill Lilly, presented the program, “W.M.U. Helping the Church Wor ship.” Following this, a prayer was closed by Miss Jane Williams.
