MKS, LEWIS GENE TUCKER ...She was Miss Cassandra Wilson Miss Cassandra Wilson Weds Lewis G. Tucker ..Amidst the beautifully de corated background of green ery and lighted candles at Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church recently, Cassandra Elaine Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cicero Wilson of Charlotte, became the bride of Lewis Gene Tucker, son of James Tucker and Mrs. Ber tha C. Tucker of Winston Salem. ..*ev, WUUam M. White, minis ter of Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Chnrch performed tli„ double ring ceremony. He wa s assisted by Rev. Harvey O. Graham, minister of Metrop litan United Presbyterian Church. ..Given in marriage by her father, Mits Wilson was at tired In her mother's bridal gown which was made by Mrs Viola Byers of Charlotte. The - gown was made of off-whitt bridal satin with panels of imported Chantilly lace down the front and back that ex tended into a chapel train of Chantilly lace. The dress had a fitted bodice with Chantilly lace, peter pan collar and long pointed sleeves. Her head piece. designed by Mrs. John Maxwell, was cathedral-style with matching floor length veil. For jewelry Cassandra wore tiny pearl earrings, a gift of her aunt. She carried a white bible with a white orchid and streamers with tiny ^ yellow roses. As she marched down the aisle with her father, the bride paused, gave one long-stemmed rose to her mother and kissed her. At the end of the ceremony as the bride and groom passed out. Cassandra paused, kissed the groom's mother and present ed her with a long-stemmed yellow rose. ..Mrs'. William Wright, sister of the groom, was matron of honor: Miss Mona C. Jones, a friend of the bride was maid of -honor. Both wore light green polyester crepe long sleeved. . three iter floor length dresses - wlfSr emerald velvet around e»ch tier. They wore matching t:. I.eake and Mvra A Stlit were flower girls and wore long yellow dresses with matching head pieces identical to the bridesmaids. They carried fan-shaped flower baskets. Mrs. John Maxwell made the dresses and designed the headpieces. ..I.ittle Marc Brown was ring bearer. . . For her daughter's w eliding, Mrs. Wilson chose an emerald green crepe and chiffon long sleeved gown with coordinat ing accessories. The groom's mother, Mrs. Tucker, wore a light blue crepe floor length dress with matching access ories. ..I.. Gerado Stroud was or ganist, lie was accompanied by the talented violinist, Miss Ina J. Jones. Miss Juliet Smith sang “Because”, "Ave Maria”, and “The Voice that Breathed O’er Kden.” Michael Wright, a friend of the groom, sang "For Once In My Life,” "Through The Years” and “The l.ord's Prayer," following the ceremony. ..The reception was held in the main lounge of the Student Ilninn nn lhi> mmntic nf son C. Smith University. The color scheme of yellow and green was carried out. On the bride's table was a four tier wedding cake with a running fountain between the third and fourth tier. Kach guest was given a scroll upon which was insribed in gold a thank-vou sentiment from the bride and groom. ..Mrs. Zoel Hargrave direct ed the wedding and served as hostess at the reception. Other hostesses were Mrs. Raymond F. Rorie. Mrs. Hilda Bookout, Mrs. Mildred Taylor, Mrs. Lathan Fhillips. Mrs. George J. Leake, Mrs. Henry Rouse III, Miss Laura l.iverman and Miss Margaret L. Carr, God mother of the bride. ..The bride, a graduate 01 Garlnger High School, attend ed Winston-Salem State Uni versity where she was a voice major. Mr. Tucker, It. J. Rey nolds Scholar, is a senior at Winston-Salem State Univer sity with a major in math, lie is employed as an accountant technician by the Department of Human Services for the city of Winston-Salem. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Fsi Fraternity. The couple will reside in Winston-Salem. Out-of-town guests attendinf the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Bernard A. Simmons. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hines. Washington. D.C.; Mrs. James Chappie. Mrs. Kenneth Chappie, Montclair. New Jer sey; Mrs. Mattie Ray and Mr. Umbra Morris, Greens boro; Mrs. Jessie ilarion, and Mrs. Cora Avery, Roanoke, Virginia.
