Kansas City To Host USCAASR’s 91st Convention iirc mutual session oi the United Supreme Council, 33, A.A.S.R., Southern Juris diction (Prince Hall Affilia tion) will be held October 1 - 4 in Kansas City, Mo., announc ed Dr. John G. Lewis Jr. of Baton Rouge, La., sovereign grand commander. All sessions and convoca tion-related events will be held at the Muehlebach Hotel, in cluding the Divine Service, 7 p.m., Sunday. The Rev. John W. Williams, pastor of St. Stephen Baptist Church, Kan sas City, Mo., will deliver the eulogy. The Council will open offici ally Monday, 8:30 a.m. Dr. Lewis wiU deliver the Sove Be Sure To Vote Tuesday On Tuesday, primary elec tion day, registered Demo crats will have the opportunity to vote for their party’s choice of a candidate for mayor from a field of four and for four council at-large candidates from a field of eight. In addition, voters will have a chance to vote for a district council candidate from their own district. This means that each registered Democrat will be able to vote for six people, a mayoral candidate, four coun cil at-large candidates and one district council candidate. Dr Lewis will preside over the convocation, assisted by Dr. I.H. Claybom of Dallas, Tex., lieutenant grand commander. Drs. Lewis and Claybom are also grand masters of Louisi ana and Texas, respectively. Highlights include: Satur day, 12 noon luncheon and conference for Deputies and Active Members; 9 p.m., Re ception tor all members and guests; Sunday, 9 a.m., Exe cutive Breakfast Session; 2 p.m., Organization of Class of I //, ana 7 p.m., Divine Ser vice; Monday, 8:30 a.m., Opening of Supreme Council in Full Ceremonial; 12:30 p.m., Luncheon, 2 p.m., Exe cutive Session, 2:30 p.m., Con ferring of Thirty-Third De gree, and 7:30 p.m., Annual Class Banquet in honor of the Class of *77. The Council will close Tuesday afternoon. Class reunions will be held by those Classes elevated in a year whose last numeral is one, two or three. These schools completed the 1976-77 academic year without acci dents involving any of their school children. Schools participating in the program earn the right to fly a pennant from their flagstaff by completing a 30-day acci dent-free period. The pen long as there are no accidents. If one occurs, the pennant is withdrawn and displayed in side the school for a 30-day safety review period. The Green Pennant Traffic Safety Program is aimed at making students conscious of the vital need for traffic safe ty. It recognizes those schools with outstanding traffic safety performances.
