Muhammad Ali, who will seek to become the first man in history to hold the heavy weight boxing championship on four oc casions, has moved up the ladder in Ring Magazine ratings. He was ranked a distant 12th among the contenders back in June. He currently is in the number five position. Ali is set to fight WBC heavyweight champion Larry Holmes in Las Vegas October 2. How’s this for a good beginning? Perry Harrington, former Jackson State standout has picked up 49 yards with his first nine carries as a runningback with the Philadel phia Eagles. That’s a little more than five yards per try. How bad is the drug problem in the NBA? “So bad it scares me,” says Leonard (Truck) Robinson, star power forward of the Phoenix Suns. JCSU Golden Bulls Face Virginia Union In Richmond Special To The Post The JCSU Golden Bulls may be facing a leap from the frying pan into the fire as they travel to Rich mond, Virgina to take on the defending CIAA champs, Virginia Union. "I look for the outcome to be entirely different from last year’s 30-6 loss,” stated Bulls coach Wylie Harris. “We’re traveling north knowing we have a football team that can play good, physical ball.” The Lenoir-Rhyne team will vouch for that.
