Broggi be come “undercover smokies" to trap a cocaine gang using a pretty trucker’s “big rig” to smuggle their “junk,” on “Enos,” Wed nesday, January 7, at 8 .p.m. on WBTV, Channel 3. Broggi doffs his uniform to act as a “big dope buyer,” and the intrepid duo of Enos and Turk become his “pushers” to infiltrate a truck operation run by a happy go-lucky lady known as Dolly. They believe Dolly to be the head of the ring until the true “happy dust” dealers come out of the woodwork. The cost is only 813.52 per year. i 'll ■ i • ■ ■ Carowmds P^ins Talent Search carowinds theme park is mount ing a seven-city talent search in mid-January to find singers, dancers and musicians for its 1981 live shows program. Park officials stated that audi tions will be held in Greenville, N.C. on January 18; Chapel Hill, N.C. - Jap. 19; Columbia, S.C.-Jan. 20; Greenville, S.C. - Jan. 21; Greensboro, N.C. - Jan. 22; Win ston-Salem, N.C. - Jan. 24; and Charlotte, N.C. - Jan. 25. Carowinds Live Shows Manager Frank Perez estimated that over 600 people will be auditioned to find the 100 performers and technicians needed for the Carowinds live shows. Accompanying the Carowinds live shows personnel on the audi tions will be representatives from Kings Productions in Cincinnati Ohio. Kings Productions produces the live shows for Carowinds, Kings Dominion (Richmond, Va.), Kings Island (Cincinnati, Ohio), Hanna Barbera’s Marineland (Los An geles, Calif.) and Canada’s Won derland (Toronto, Canada). Those interested in auditioning for the Carowinds live shows should take note of the following information: -Appointments are not needed for singers, -dancers and musi cians. However, musical groups should contact the Carowinds live shows department prior to audi tioning. -Singers should prepare one fast song and one slaw song and bring sheet music in their appropriate key. Carowinds will provide an accompanist. Tapes or other sup port materials are not allowed, and “a capella”, singing is not per mitted. -Dancers should come dressed in appropriate dancing attire and should perform one exemplary routine. Dancers can perform to either a tape or record or can bring sheet music to be played by the Carowinds accompanist. -Musicians should play one brief selection andTnay be required to sight read. -Auditions will be limited to two minutes. -Auditions are open to any per former 16-years-oid and over. Perez stated that the park is looking for those performers who have had some formal training in music, voice ordyceand want to gain some professional experience in their chosen field. Performers selected to work at Carowinds will work from 15 to 30 weeks during the 1981 summer season depending on the show they are chosen for. Carowinds, and equal opportun ity employer, M-F, will reopen for the 1981 season on March 21.
