Sorority To Present Spectacular Debutante Cotillion Each year Della Sigma Theta, Inc., of Charlotte presents the spectacular __ Debutante Cotillion This year the event will be held at 9 p.m. April 3 at the Sheraton Center. In its 17th year the Co tillion introduces young ladies of the Charlotte Mecklenburg community who are high school seniors to adult society by an nouncing them in a formal setting - a ball. The Cotillion and its many cultural, social and educational activities serve to smooth the transi tion from high school to young adulthood by bring ing into close and harmon ious relationships the de butante, her family, her friends, our sorors, and many facets of the com munity in Charlotte. Members of Delta Sigma Theta are successfully providing participants with wholesome exposure that will make them productive citizens. For the next six weeks the CharlottePost will fea ture the Debutante Con testants. A North Mecklenburg Batting Game ' The Charlotte Power Squadron will be offering a *f|0-week boating course which began February 12 at the Duke Pqwer Audi torium located at Second and Church Streets. The course is free. Those successfully com pleting the course will receive certificates.
