Stephanie Grier, Norman Harris Exchange Marital Vows Tw'> lives were made one as Stephanie Grier and Norman E. Harris Jr. exchanged marital vows. The 3 p m ceremony took place at Memorial Presbyterian Church and Rev Edward Newberry and Rev. John Leak of New St. John Baptist £fcurch officiated the ceremony. IJGiven in marriage by her brother, Riir'is Grier, the bride was iftoquently dressed in a formal satin gown enhanced with a deep front a«d back V-shaped neckline. The feck waistline was accented with a hill satin bow. The long, fitted peeves were designed with French imported Alencon lace, seed pearls, ind irredescents. The skirt cas caded into a cathedral-length train ipith Alencon lace motifs, further enhanced by seed pearls, irrides Cents and a deep scalloped Alencon Jfcce Ixirder. - ,*j For her headdress the bride chose a'Victorian, fingertip veil which was handmade by the bride’s aunt, Delessie Collins., J As matron of honor the bride selected her sister, Frankie Pendergrass. The bride’s cousin, Raifnrd Durham of Columbia, SC, was the maid of honor. Millicent Howell of Burnswick,. NJ, and I.aDnnna Coefield, the bride’s cousin, were the remaining brides maids. Little Miss Jeannette Grier, the bride’s niece, was the flower girl. Kevin Harris, the groom’s brother, was the best man. Acolytes were James Pendergrass of Atlanta, GA, and the groom’s cousin, Tony Russell, of Kannapolis. The junior groomsman was Rashawn Stark, Safe Drive Safe Drive is an award-winning volunteer program that provides free, confidential rides home to Mecklenburg County teens every Friday and Saturday night between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. Safe Drive is currently seeking program volun teers. Ellis of Franklin Lakes, NJ, was the ring bearer. A graduate of AAT State University, the bride is the daughter of Ann Grier of New York City, NY. She is employed as a personnel assistant with the US Postal Service. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harris Sr., the groom graduated from Winston-Salem State University. He is employed with Florida Steel Inc.
