Speaker for Baptist Heritage Week program Dr. James M. Dunn, Executive Director of the Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs, was the featured speaker in Oc tober, when Chowan observed Baptist Heritage Week. Pictured with Dr. Dunn (third from left) are: the Rev. Thomas H. Caulkins, pastor of the Murfreesboro Baptist Church; Dr. B. Franklin Lowe, Dean of the College; Dr. Dunn; Dr. Bruce E. Whitaker, President; Dr. R. Hargus Taylor, Chaplain to the College; and, Gaston Tann, a pre-ministerial student, who is also associate pastor of Willow Oaks AME Church, Rich Square. The annual program, attended by all members of the student body, faculty and staff, was held in Helms Center. New Computer Services Added A new computer center has been opened within Carrie Savage Camp Hall to provide science and mathematics students op portunities for independent work.
