Manuscripts will be returned if accompanied by SASE. • • * Jernan Ltd. is the publisher of a new magazine called / Know You Know: Lesbian News and Views (known as I.K.Y.K., for short.) The premiere issue is scheduled to be out in the middle of November. The magazine, developed by lesbian professionals, will be a national “lifestyle” publication, published monthly, distributed predominantly by subscription, but also available in select lesbian/feminist bookstores and businesses. I.K.Y.K. will be one of the nation's only four-color, semi- gloss finish magazines exclusively for lesbian readership, written by women with expertise in their field. Some of the regular columns will include: Letters, Financial/ Business, Personal Awareness, Health, Dear Butch, Lesbian Voices, Sports, Current Issues, Humor, Just Between You and Me, Entertainment and Travel. In addition, there will also be informative cover stories and major features. Subscription cost is $27 for twelve issues (money orders, checks, Visa and MasterCard accepted). Copies are mailed discreetly in a white envelope. The word “lesbian” will not appear anywhere on the outside of the envelope. Box 420, East Roclcaway, N.Y. 11518. • • • On Our Backs is a new, national sex entertainment magazine ‘Tor the adventurous lesbian,” featuring erotic stories, poetry and photos by and about lesbian sexuality. The quarterly publication debuted with a Summer 1984 issue, which also featured advertising from “the most creative and unique lesbian sex- oriented businesses.” And On Our Backs has personal ads, too. The magazine intends to be high quality in design and content. Yearly subscriptions are not available at this time. For a sample issue, send $3.50 plus 50$ postage and handling to P.O. Box 421916, San Francisco, CA 94142. * * * Outrageous Women (nicknamed OW) is a quarterly journal of woman-to-woman S&M, published by a Boston area feminist women’s collective. The co-editors hope to attract a nationwide readership. “A safe and lively space’ in which to discuss, debate and fantasize, the journal will be as all inclusive as possible with respect to interests, experience level, intensity and sexual identity. $10.00 a year or $2.75 an issue provides erotica, political theory and analysis, practical information, news, reviews, graphics, letters, poetry, personal experiences and humor. OW also needs submissions. Preferably, written work should be typed and double spaced. Otherwise, please print legibly or send in a standard casette tape.
