High Times By CAROL STANLEY and JEANNINE KINC AIBE First, we’d like to say hovj very proud we are of our foot ball team and we think the;! have represented our school ver;! well this season. Some of the students hav-i been hoping for a '‘merit” sys tem to balance the "de-merit system which we now have. W» think this would be a very goo 1 idea. Were sorry to see those pet pie that are not heeding th*. warnings they receive and thuc have obtained many demerit.'! We trust that as time goes b they will settle down. The annual staff is knee-deer in work these days, selling adsj We urge all of the businesses ir and around town to buy thes-r ads. You have your choice of1 many sizes. We think this is r good gesture on the part of thi businessmen as well as good at-'j vertising. We have noticed how quietly most of the grammar grade) conduct themselves when it is necessary to pass through the corridors ? Let's hope the high school will take a hint from the younger folks and return the I courtesy they have shown. How ' about it ? i _ We hate to keep repeating our selves, but again we find it necessary to urge the students to ! please refrain from walking across the lawn out in front of the' school building. The ladies in the Garden Club have worker! very hard trying to get this grass to grow and we want to help them all we can. We know that sometimes it is hard to re member, but let’s keep it in mind. For those who have been ask ! ing, we’ve just been informed j that basketball practice will not begin until November 12.
