Speaks Tuesday Realtors Set Lawing Visit The Brunswick County Board of Realtors will hold their May meeting Tuesday night at 7 o’clock at the Harbour House Restaurant at Long Beach, it has been announced. Thomas R. Lawing who Is the president of the North Carolina Association of Realtors for 1974, will deliver the main address. He will be accompanied to the meeting by John Perdue of Wilmington, who is regional vice-president of the organization. President Lawing is from Charlotte. A past president of the Charlotte Board of Realtors he was named Charlotte Realtor of the Year in 1967. He is a past president of the Charlotte Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Ap praisers. He is a past regional vice president and director of NCAR and is immediate past chairman of the Association’s By-Laws Committee. He is currently a director of the N.C. Real Estate Educational Foundation, and is a former instructor at the Realtors’ Institute. President Lawing is ser ving as a director of the National Association of Realtors and is a member of the NAR State and Urban Boards Forum. He holds both the CPM (Certified Property Manager) and SRA (Senior Realty Appraiser) designations. A director of Mutual Savings and Loan in Charlotte, President Lawing is a 32nd degree Mason and ShrLner and a director of the Mecklenburg Council of Boy Scouts. He and his wife Catherine have three children, and in 1983 were honored as “Family of the Year” by International Civitan Clubs.
