Spencer who has been in the Greensboro hospital for some time is getting along remark ably well after having' his leg amputated. And the doctors say he wiil be home soon. Mr. Jesse Eldrige has been verv ill with typhoid pneumonia. We hope to see him on the streets again soon. R, Page Jr, came up from Biscoe for a days hunting Saturday and were joined by Messrs E. N. Luck, Isaac Bean, Robt. Hoggs, Henry Owen, and H. L. Bean. They killed several rabbits and squirrels, and report a fine time. Mr. Millard Humble and Miss Cora Kearns visited at Mr. Levi Lucks Sunday. Mr. Walter Luck and sister Miss Nerva spent Sunday night at Mrs. S. B. Kearns. Rev. J. S. Allred filled his ap pointment at Pisgah Sunday. The Plainfield school crossed bats with Carawav school on the latters ground, the score stands 15 to 1 in favor of Plainfield. Mr. James Rich and his new bride moved to their new home recently. Mr. Madison Brown has been very sick but is some better now. While Mr. Geo. Allred was chopping wood a piece flew up, striking him on the head hurting him very badly. Mr. D. H. Stout went to Whit ney last week on business. Mrs. Warn Allred who has been very ill for some time is better at this writing. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hinshaw visited at Mr. Isaac Rich's last Sunday. Mr. W. B. Millikan and Clark Snider have bought a tract of timber near Flint HM and are busy cutting and hauling chair timber. Mr. J. F. Davis and family visited at his uncle A. P. Davis es last Sunday.
