C. , 6t a 25 26 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF <64,000.00 LIBERTY WATER RONDS AND PROVIDING FOR THE PAY MENT OF -THE PRINCIPAL THEREOF AND THE INTEREST THEREON. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Lib erty, North Carolina: Section One: -That the Town of Liberty, a municipal corporation un der the laws of North Carolina, and situate in Randolph County, said State, pursuant to The Municipal Fi nance Act, 1921, and the laws amend atory thereof and supplementary thereto, issue its bonds to be desig nated as Liberty Water Bonds, for the purpose of paying the cost of providing a municipal water system for the town, including the digging of wells, the purchase and erection of reservoirs, tanks, pumps, water mains, and all other fixtures, machinery, ap pliances and equipment that may be necessary for the proper construction and operation of a municipal water system, to furnish wat?r to the town, its inhabitants and customers; and also including such real estate as may be required, for use in connection therewith. Said municipal water sys tem, including machinery, fixtures, equipment, - real estate and other items, as above specified, are hereby declared to be a necessary public ex pense of the municipality, the cost whereof, as determined by this Board on the report of the engineers who have made a survey of the situation and made plans and estimates there for, will be <60,000.00; Section Two: The maximum aggre gate principal amount of the bonds shall be <60,000.00; Section Three: A tax sufficient to pay the principal and interest of the bonds 8hall be annually levied and collected; Section Four: A statement of the debt of the municipality has been filed with the Clerk, pursuant to the aforesaid statutes, and is open to pub lic inspection; Section Five: The assessed valua tion of the property as last fixed for municipal taxation is <776,681.00. Section Six: The amount of the net debt of the municipality outsanding, authorized or to be authorized, as shown by the aforesaid statement, is <500.00. Section Seven: It is hereby deter mined and declared that the probable period of usefulness of said improve ments for which said bonds are to be issued is forty years, computed from the 31st day of March, 1927. Section Eight: This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its first publication unless in the meantime a petition for its submission to the vot ers of the municipality is filed in ac cordance with The Municipal Finance Act, 1921, and the laws amendatory thereof and supplementary thereto, and in the event of such submission it shall take effect when approved by the voters of *the municipality at an elecion^ae provided by said Act. Section Nine: This ordfiiance shall be published once in eaeh of two suc cessive weeks after its final passage in The Courier, a weekly newspaper published at Asheboro, N. C., in the County of Randolph, and circulating in the . municipality, there being no newspaper published in the munici pality.
