An elaborate program has been arranged for the state conference of Aremnian and Sy rian relief workers In this city Mon day, January 19. at which time Gov ernor Blckett and officials of the Near East relief from New York headquar ters will speak. Tho conference will be an all day affair with a luncheon In the Yarborough hotel. Btate Chairman George II. Bellamy will preside. This conference is a preliminary to the opening of tho relief campaign in North Carolina February 1. This wtato has been asked to raiso $200,000 for the relief of suffering Armenians and Syrians and for the adoption of orphans of the near eaft.
