DIES ACCIDENTALLY

The following news story taken
from The Fayetteville Observer of
Oet. 25, tells of the accidental death
of Julian C. Yarborough, of near
that city. Mr. Yarborough wag a
brother of Mrs. G. H. Lyday of
Davidson River.
Julian C. Yarborough, 36, was in
stantly killed at the home of his
father, Frank C. Yarborough, in
Gray’s Creek township, when an au
tcmatie pistol which he was clean
ing discharged.
The y: ung man had removed the
magazine from the pistol and appai
-ill; was unaware that one ear
tii'go remained in the chamber.
When it discharged the bullet pass
ed till ugh his body just below the
limit, ranging upward, and causing
iir'ant death.

COUNTY JAIL EMPT Y
FOR AN ENTIRE DAY
Something new happened in Bre
vard last week-the jail was ban;
of boarders for a day and night, the
first time since Sheriff #Toni Wood
took charge in December first of-last
year.
However, this fine state of affaiis
did not last over the week-end, with
alleged violators of fhe law coming
in as usual, one, two, and four at a
time, until the jail has again resum
ed its regular appearance, faces to
be sem peering from the upstairs
windows.
