A brief report was given by
John A. Senter, president of the
North Carolina Agricultural
Foundation, on the purpose for
the foundation and the work
they sponsor at North Carolina
State University.

Extension Service activities
throughout North Carolina.

Agriculture and Life Sciences,
reported on the teaching pro
grams conducted at North Caro
lina State University in the
areas of agriculture and life
tciences.
Dr. J. C. Williamson, Direc
tor of Research for the
School of Agriculture and
Life Sciences, reported on the
research being conducted at
North Carolina State Univer
sity and the Agricultural Ex
periment Stations throughout
North Carolina.
Approximately 75 business
men. farm leaders and other
interested persons from Tran
sylvania, Henderson, Buncombe
and Haywood counties attended
this event
Services for Jennings B. Fish
er, 73, of Lake Toxaway, route
1, who died Saturday were held
at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Mace
donia Baptist Church.
The Rev. Doc Owens offici
ated. Burial was in Lakeside
Cemetery. Nephews were pall
bearers.
Mr. Fisher was a retired tim
ber worker and a member of
the Macedonia Baptist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs.
John Allen McCall of Brevard;
two brothers, Walter P. of Bal
sam Grove and Obie Fisher of
Brevard; and several nieces and
