Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hieronimus and children of Winston-Salem, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Boggess. Mrs. Hiero nimus and Mrs. Boggess are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Winches ter of the Calvert section and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jordan of Asheville spent the weekend at the Winchester camp in Clark Hill, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hamil ton of Pickens, S. C., were Sunday guests of Mrs. Hamil ton’s brother, Rev. Claude Hol combe and Mrs. Holcombe. They were also guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Revis. Mrs. A. M. Paxton, Jr., Mrs. E. M. Collins, and Mrs. Dickie Paxton were Sunday guests of the former’s mother, Mrs. A. M. Pharr who is reported to be slowly improving in Moun tain Home Sanitarium in Fletch er. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Calla ham were Sunday guests of the former’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Whitfield in Townville, S. C. Mr. Whitfield had just returned home from a hospital in Andersoni, S. C., where he had been undergoing treatment for a heart atack. Pfp. Roger Powell has ar rivf^d in Korea for a tour of duty. He recently spent 14 days here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Powell, prior to leaving for Korea. Little River Club To Meet (Front Page Fifth Section) per at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Shipman. RA lead ers attending were Fred Kil strom, Don Lee Merrill, Charles Gant and Ted Whitmire. Boy Scout masters were Calvin Justice and David Orr. A large group attended the house warming given for Mrs. Reba Kilstrom Monday night. Each one enjoyed the refresh ments and also the touring of her beautiful new home. She re ceived many useful gifts. Among them was a beautiful vase of red and pink roses, a bed spread, dishes, towels, azalea plants for the yard and others. Pfc. and Mrs. Marshall Mc Call are proud parents of a baby girl born Friday Septem ber 24th at Margaret Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville. Mrs. McCall before her mar riage was Miss Sandra Brown. The proud grandparents are Mr. and Jfrs. Bill Brown of this community. Mrs. McCall is at present serving in the army in Germany.
