To be on the dean’s list at the University here, a student must be taking a full academic load of at least 15 hours, and make no grade below a C. The grades in all courses must av erage a 3.0 (or B) quality point average. Funds received in the offering go to help sup port the charity program at the hospital. Officers of the Transylvania Association, who are expected to attend the 12:00 o’clock meet ing at Bailey’s Cafeteria in Westgate, are Randal J. Lyday, moderator, Brevard, Rev. James Pressley of Rosman, hospital representative, and Rev. Otis Wheelhouse of Brevard, super intendent of missions. Other associations which are expected to have officers in at tendance include: Buncombe, Carolina, Blue Ridge, New Found, French Broad, Mitchell, Polk, and Yanoey. Rev. Calvin Knight, the hos pital’s director of Denomina tional Relations, will attend the meeting and will discuss some of the institution’s needs in re lation to maintaining its charity program. He also will suggest various ways in which the culti vation campaign can be pre sented to congregations of par ticipating churches. No action was taken at the meeting of the Rosman Citizens’ Group with fire department and rescue squad personnel Satur day night. The meeting was called by the group which is opposing the transfer of the building U9ed by the fire and rescue squad to Transylvania County. A petition with 526 signa tures opposing the transfer was presented by Emmett Owen of the citizens group to Capt Earl Ayers of the Rosman Volunteer Rescue Squad and Dick Powell, assisant fire chief of Rosman. About 30 people attended the meeting in Rosman High School Auditorium. The low attend ance was attributed to the bad weather. A majority of the 28 mem bers of the fire department and rescue squad voted 17 to four earlier this month to turn the building over to the board of county commissioners. TRY THE TIMES CLASSIFIEDS Gospel Team To Visit Bethany Bible Church Next Wednesday Each year it is within the program of Prairie Bible Insti tute to send Gospel teams to various parts of Canada and the United States. The Institute is located in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. The Gospel teams visit and minister to local churches. This year Bethany Bible Church is privileged to have one of the teams visit the church and pre sent Christ in song, instru mental music and preaching. The team consists of Rev. and Mrs. Russell Cline, Dan Ken nedy and Paul Kinvig, all of whom travel for the Institute full-time. They will conduct the service on Wednesday evening, March 1, 1972, at 7:00 o’clock. The Clines’ ministry includes Bible teaching, evangelism, and counselling. Dan and Paul both graduated from Prairie recent ly. Dan’s home is in Greenville, S. C„ and he is an outstanding trumpet player. Paul is from Sumerland, B. C„ and he is not only an accomplished pianist but he plays the trumpet as well.
